The Orchard is a self-directed learning center on a four acre property that hosts over 100 fruit trees (apples, pears, and plums), blueberries, black berries, and grapes.
There is a farm pond to explore-perfect for catching fish and frogs.

At the Orchard, we learn in different ways. 
Local school groups visits The Orchard on Mondays. Children engaged in self-directed learning opportunities. 
Outside Winter offerings include, but are not limited to sliding, tree climbing, cardboard building, orchard exploration, nature crafts, and snow sports. The offerings encourage self-directed learning and engage children in critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. 
Inside Winter offerings include, but are not limited to building with legos, constructing marble runs, creating with play doh, experimenting and learning about electricity with snap circuits, exploring magnets and their properties, playing board games, and designing with arts and crafts.

The Orchard aims to provide learning opportunities beyond the public school. We want to be responsive to the needs in the region and beyond.
